BMW Makes Morphable, Fabric-Covered Car

BMW recently unveiled a fabric-covered vehicle that can change shapes with the push of a button. Called the GINA (Geometry and functions In 'N' Adaptions) Visionary Model.... It's built on the Z8 chassis and has a 4.4-liter V8 and six-speed automatic transmission. BMW says the fabric skin - polyurethane-coated Lycra - is resilient, durable and water resistant. It's stretched over an aluminum frame controlled by electric and hydraulic actuators that allow the owner to change the body shape. Want a big spoiler on the back? Wider fenders? No problem!

Wolverine...The Last Stand

The fun part, in creating this scene, is in sourcing the right materials for our diorama which had to be in scale with our featured action figure (1:6 SCale Real Action Heroes Wolverine). With a little imagination combined with McGyver-resque ingenuity, we were able to pull-off a set for our photo shoot using regular household items. For the prison fence, we used a meshed magazine rack. The barbed wires were painfully hand-made using scrap chicken wires while the metal crates were cooking containers which we borrowed from our mom's kitchen. With a little soil from our garden pots, various Marvel Legends accessories and several lamp shades for lighting, we were able to achieve the look and feel that we wanted for this shot.

My brother and I were really proud coz' all that hard work paid of when it won 1st place at the Toy Clicks Toy Photography Competition...

Batman Begins Figure by Takara

I believe that Takara's GenX Core Batman Begins figure is probably the best 1:6 scale rendition of this iconic character to date. The suit is made of a rubber material that pretty much replicates the look in the movie. I replicated the movie poster and a shot of Christian Bale at Gotham's roof-tops (as can be seen in the last two photos in this set). I'd bet you'd agree with me when I say that "accuracy and realism" is an understatement to this collectible figure. The GenX Core body is also highly articulate which allows for superb posing ability. My only rant is that the rubber suit, sometimes makes it difficult to let the figure hold a particular pose due to its natural tendency to revert to an un-stretched position. I guess it's a compromise I could live with in order to have a realistic figure with hidden joints.

In terms of accessories, Takara's Batman Begins package will blow you away as it comes with what amounts to a whole new figure. In Bruce Wayne mode, it com...

Iron Man (Anthony Edward "Tony" Stark) is a fictional comic book superhero in the Marvel Comics universe. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee, writer Larry Lieber, and artists Don Heck and Jack Kirby, he first appeared in Tales of Suspense #39 (March 1963). Tony Stark, after being gravely injured and forced to build a devastating weapon, instead created a suit of power armor to save his life and help protect the world as Iron Man. He is a wealthy industrialist and genius inventor whose suit of armor is laden with technological devices that enable him to fight crime.

REtroSPECT's 'Trilogy (If I Don't Love You)' Music Video

If you like RnB...then you'd wanna check out the Music Video of the latest song of REtroSPECT entitled Trilogy (If I Don't Love You).

And just in case you're wondering if you read the first sentence correctly...YES! it's an RnB song from the group REtroSPECT! =) I guess they're just truly versatile in their music... and I absolutely like it! Reminds me of the song "Four Seasons of Loneliness" coupled with the sound of Bone Thugs & Harmony.

This song is a cut from the group's 4th Studio Album "REtroSPECT Decade" and is composed by Ogie Ramos with music from Miguel Cortes.

I heard that the song is climbing the charts over at Max FM so please continue to support Trilogy by requesting it at 103 and a half!

Went against the temptation to watch Ne-Yo to support our friends in their first major concert production at the Music Museum. The Sabado Boys...Paolo Santos, Top Suzara, Jimmy Bondoc, Mike Chan, Luke Mejares and DJ Myke may have successful individual musical careers, but the melodies they created collectively in this concert performance has definitely given me a fresh new listening experience to enjoy. Most of the songs they sang in the concert were from their latest CD recording entitled "Sabado Boys (The Saitai Album)". I got a copy of their CD at the concert and I so love the song selections since it compiles songs which have been past faves of mine. The musical arrangements and vocal harmonies of the 16-track CD is superb for easy listening. The Sabado Boys' album has definitely earned top-spot on my iPod's playlist.

Before I forget...kudos to our friends from Samu't Sari Productions for coming up with a totally entertaining

2007 Birthday/Christmas Parties

Celebrated my birthday twice this year and both celebrations were Birthday/Christmas Parties as it has always been for the past couple of years. The first batch of photos were taken at our annual get-together with dive buddies and the rest of the photos were from our party with our "dabarkads". As usual, both parties were super-fun but the highlights were definitely the sumptuous "potluck food" and the gift-giving ceremonies.

I really feel blessed to have such great friends who have constantly been there for me through thick or thin. Thanks for giving me the Ultimate Gift of Friendship...and of course....to my ever-so-thoughtful "dabarkads"....thank you so much for the Ultimate Bumblebee...Yeah Baby!

Chanced upon a post of my friend Dave Quitoriano about the what a Blog really means in today's society. If you're a blogger who wants people to understand why you have a blog and how it works, this video is for you.

Below is a brief explanation how "Social Networking" sites work and why they are so popular in today's generation.

It may also be helpful to know the power of social bookmarking and how it works to make web pages easier to remember, organize and share.

All videos were made by CommonCraft Productions who makes different types of short explanatory video clips covering topics like social media, social bookmarking and lately even zombies.

More Than Meets the Eye: Animating the MP-1 Optimus Prime

I have always been fascinated with robot animation and the merchandise that come with them, especially the toys. The interest I have for Super Robots spurs from the creativity of the art of animation combined with the science fiction story line that has ever since got me hooked as evidenced by my constant interest in working with Creatives and Technology.

For the first 11 years of my life, I was an only child and I almost got every toy I desired except for the 1970's Voltes V toy which I was supposed to get as a Christmas Gift until my dad found a way to trick me into getting a pair of Lone Ranger guns instead. Until now I'm dumb-founded as to how he was able to convince me to give Voltes up and that particular toy remains elusive from me until now due to its steep market value.

But non-the-less, as a kid, I always saw to it that all my toys were all properly stored in my cabinet after playtime and I always made it a point to line up and display them all in front of our C...

Will you post Video & Audio Replies Often @ Multiply?

As I logged-on to Multiply today, I noticed that the Global Navigation Menu changed. Instead of the usual "My Multiply" tab, I now see an "Inbox" tab which got me quite confused at first. After figuring out that it's not an inbox for Personal Messages, I saw a post from my online buddy Bindra about some changes he noticed as follows:

Re-arrangement of global navigation

New default theme for newly created user (also available for old users)

Additional themes for selection (polled from group)

Recipes and Market are back!

New default posting option (Everyone, Network, etc.)

More options on Custom Filter

Some hardcoded styles in HTML are removed (good news for theme designers)

Multimedia reply, WOW!!! (look at the right hand of comment entry)
Faster loading multimedia (reported from user)
It's nice that there is now a multimedia response section but do you really think that it'll pick-up? Similar to Cellphone calls vs. 3G Video Calls vs. Text/MMS...this is what ...
