for everyone

Iron Man (Anthony Edward "Tony" Stark) is a fictional comic book superhero in the Marvel Comics universe. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee, writer Larry Lieber, and artists Don Heck and Jack Kirby, he first appeared in Tales of Suspense #39 (March 1963). Tony Stark, after being gravely injured and forced to build a devastating weapon, instead created a suit of power armor to save his life and help protect the world as Iron Man. He is a wealthy industrialist and genius inventor whose suit of armor is laden with technological devices that enable him to fight crime.

The Repulsor-Power Iron Man 12" figure photographed here is part of the toy-line from the 2008 Movie from Marvel Entertainment & Paramount Pictures. It features Iron Man in his Mark 3 armor with motion-activated supersonic flight & combat sounds, electronic speech, glowing repulsors and launching missiles. Articulation is very limited with this figure so I decided to just enhance the photos with lighting effects for the eyes and repulsors to resemble the look in the movie. Just for kicks, I re-colored the same toy in Photoshop to make it resemble the Mark 2 armor.

It's the 15th...isn't it supposed to be payday today? I have yet to see the Mark II figure sold locally. What I've seen so far is the War Machine version.

Despite the limited articulation of this 12" Iron Man...it still amazingly remains photogenic. How I wish that Hasbro releases an Iron Monger and Mark 1 & 2 Iron Man in the 1:6 scale to match my Mark 3 Iron Man figure.

Hey Az! Any luck finding the Iron Monger figure?
j4ever wrote on Apr 17
Waaahhhh, wala nang Mark 1, 2 at iron Monger huhuhuhu

Really? I'm pretty sure they'll re-stock. If I see one...I'll let you know.

You must have an amazing collection by now. be nice to see it someday

Frankly, the collection is still quite modest. I still need to have everything organized and displayed one day. I'm patiently praying for God's favor to provide me & moppet with a bigger home. She did promise me my own space for my collectibles. When that day comes I'll sure invite you to come over. =)

a takara 12-inch iron man would kick ass.

@joriben: the watermark is for professional effect! hehehe

@ryder: True! Takara has been known for intricate detailing which would be perfect if we want a movie accurate version of Iron Man.
